News and announcements
Full story: The AFTRA Retirement Fund understands the challenges these circumstances create and wants to provide pension recipients —who receive their monthly benefit payments via live checks— with information on how to avoid delays or missed deliveries of their monthly benefit payments.
If you are in (or near) the impacted area and expect difficulties with the delivery of mail to your address on record with the Fund, you can take action to have your payment sent to a different address and/or sign up for Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer by doing the following:
If you are changing your address, for the protection of your information and your benefits, we require a copy of a government ID to be included with your completed form.
Please note that in order to expedite the processing of these forms and avoid any delays with processing your next payment, participants directly impacted should submit completed forms to the email address DisasterRecovery@aftraretirement.org . Do not return your completed forms by mail, as there may be a delay in receiving and/or processing your request.
If you think you may have difficulties receiving your benefit payment due to the L.A. wildfires, please call Participant Services at (800) 562-4690 to speak with a representative or send an email to DisasterRecovery@aftraretirement.org to submit a change of address and/or to get information about relaxed requirements for submitting the Direct Deposit Form. In your message, please include your full name and the best telephone number to reach you. Alternatively, if you are a registered portal user, you can visit the portal at myportal.aftraretirement.org/helpcenter to send a message to a Fund representative.
