Full Story: It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Shelby Scott, co-chairperson of the AFTRA Retirement Board of Trustees, passed away at her home last week. Co-Chairperson Scott served on the legacy AFTRA Health & Retirement Funds board and the AFTRA Retirement Fund Board of Trustees for more than 28 years, most of which as co-chair.  

Trustees and Fund staff mourn her passing and will remember her as “always warm, thoughtful, candid, and tough when needed, while maintaining a terrific sense of humor.” Shelby was “a one of a kind, singular” person who dedicated her extensive career, and her time post retirement, to support the needs of performers in the industry, the SAG-AFTRA Union and the related benefits funds. 

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Shelby’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
